We did this whilst maintaining COVID-secure working practices and ensuring there was minimum disruption to stores in what is their busy pre-Christmas period. This project was time-sensitive, with Aldi wanting to get the walkways installed as soon as possible before the winter weather really kicked in.įrom the initial enquiry to us in mid-October, we completed the installations of 159 units across 39 stores in just 10 weeks. Retailers realised., however, that in winter this would be a very different story and that to provide some weather protection to customers could mean the difference between people choosing to shop with them or go elsewhere. When the first lockdown happened in the summer, this wasn’t too difficult. Even our daily tasks, such as grocery shopping has been affected by the need for retailers to limit the number of people in their stores which often leads to queues forming outside. The global pandemic has affected all of us in virtually every aspect of our lives.
